IO-Link is a communication standard in industrial applications that is so flexible that it is also referred to as the "USB interface of industry". Sensors with IO-Link interfaces are also increasingly being used in hydraulic systems. This allows a variety of data to be transmitted in the spirit of the “Internet of Things (IoT)”.
